This is a series about a parallel earth where, with the right skills & incantations, certain people can move from the “real world” to the “book world.” The main character, Thursday Next, is a smart, funny woman with a penchant for misadventure. The books are well-written, with lots of wit and some pretty wild characters. Who’d have thought that whenever they’re “off page,” the characters from our most (and least) loved stories go out to dinner, have dances, and drive race cars?
